Don't give me that look! It's not actually that magical because it won't make you skinny in an instant but it is one of the most important parts of dieting that will help you succeed in losing weight.

Some people try to drink more water through the day but most give up after a while. During the first couple of days you're body isn't accustomed to taking in all the extra water and you're running to the toilet every 2 seconds. It will seem like all the water that is going in just comes back out without any benefit and many people tend to give up.
What is really happening?
You're body is actually flushing itself of all the excess water its been storing up over the years. The body is a quite remarkable in the sense that if it doesn't get a lot of something, it will store it up and be on "survival mode". As you start to drink more water, you're body figures it will continue to get a constant supply and starts to rid itself of all the store up water around your body. This can include water thats been held in your ankles, hips, thighs, arms and even around your belly. The "breakthrough point" comes when you're toilet trips returns to normal and your body stops flushing out the excess water.
How much water?
Experts say you should drink up to 8 glasses of water a day for an average sized person. If you overweight, you should drink another 8 glasses every 25 pounds of excess weight you have. If of course you exercise intensely or live in a hot climate you should drink more.
A hot or cold potion?
This is a debatable topic. Most health experts say you should drink cold water because your stomach absorbs it more quickly. On the other hand, if you find drinking warm water easier to take down then go for it. At the end of the day, more water whether its warm or cold is better than less.
You may notice your appetite will start to decrease once you start to drink all the water your body needs. Drinking the magical clear potion is a must if you are truly serious about losing weight and becoming healthier.
