No weight loss plan will work unless you can stick to it! If your program requires you to eat special prepackaged foods, and you have to spend 3 hours a day in the gym, you're probably going to have a tough time keeping up that routine. The only way to lose weight, and sustain that weight loss, is to find a healthy routine that you enjoy, that works with your busy schedule. Here are 3 tips that will help you to create that healthy routine:
1) Use exercise bands. These things are great and you can get them for as little as $10 at your local sporting goods store! With these bands and soft rug or mat, you can do a full body workout in your bedroom in as little as 15 minutes! No need to spend $80 a month and 2 hours a day at the gym (unless you want to, of course.)
2) Find some quick, easy, and healthy recipes. "I don't have the time to eat healthy!" Have those words ever come out of your mouth? If so, you need eliminate that phrase forever! How can you do that?...By finding some recipes that are quick, easy, and healthy. I know plenty of these recipes, and I'm sure with a little research, you will too! Here are a few ideas to get you started:
Add walnuts and fresh fruit (orange slices, raspberries, strawberries, etc) to unsweetened yogurt. Don't worry, the fruit will make it so sweet you won't miss the added sugar for a second!
Chop up a bunch of vegetables (onions, peppers, broccoli, tomatoes, etc) and cook them up in an omelet. Double up on the egg whites if you want to make it super healthy.
Make a sandwich using high fiber, whole grain bread, turkey, mustard, romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and sprouts.
See how easy it is to make a quick, healthy meal!
3) Exercise with your friends and family. How can you find time to exercise and spend with those special people in your life?....Why not do them both at the same time?
Go for a walk after dinner with your husband or wife.
Take the kids on hike to the top of a local mountain (or hill).
Get some of your friends to take that aerobics class or join that over 30 soccer league with you.
This is just a start, but you get the idea. Opportunities to exercises are everywhere...not just at the gym!
I hope this information was helpful. Remember, it's one thing to lose a ton of weight; it's a whole other thing to keep it off! Don't be another yo-yo dieter! Find healthy routines that you're going to want to stick to for a lifetime!
